About us
My name is Dr. Tony Rocklin, PT, COMT and I’m the founder of Rocklin Physical Therapy, a private physical therapy clinic located in Northeast Portland. With over 27 years of clinical experience, I’ve dedicated my career to helping individuals overcome pain, recover from injuries, and optimize their movement. I’m a licensed physical therapist with a passion for hands-on, manual therapy care, evidence-based treatment strategies, and building strong therapeutic exercise plans for each of my patients. Whether you’re recovering from a sports injury, surgery, or managing longer-term pain, I’m here to help you regain confidence and return to the activities that matter most to you.
My journey began at Oregon State University where I was a member of the Men’s Basketball Team and earned my B.S. degree in Exercise and Sports Science in 1994. I then went on to Pacific University in Forest Grove, Oregon and earned by Master’s of Science in Physical Therapy in 1998. I continued my post-graduate education in the North American Institute of Orthopaedic and Manual therapy (NAIOMT) earning my Level IV Certification in Manual and Manipulative Therapy in 2008. I returned to Pacific Unversity earning my clinical Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2008.
I began my career at Therapeutic Associates, Inc (TAI) in Beaverton in 1998 where I worked for 3 years before being offered a position to become a director of my own clinic. I started Therapeutic Associates in Downtown Portland in 2001 and led that clinic until 2018. I became an owner of TAI in 2008 and stayed with TAI for 26 years until April 11th, 2024.
Medrock (www.medrock.com) is a company that i started in 2009 to focus on my dream of designing and manufacturing medical devices and products used in orthopedic rehabilitation and sports performance. I have invented multiple products including HipTrac and HotRock that sell throughout the United States and abroad.
After leaving the corporate world of TAI, I decided to start Rocklin Physical Therapy (RPT), my own specialized physical therapy practice. Opening RPT is the result of my desire to return to patient-first care in a personalized, low-volume setting. At my clinic in Northeast Portland, I provide one-on-one treatment sessions focused on root-cause diagnosis, manual therapy techniques, movement retraining, and long-term recovery strategies. My goal is simple: to listen, to treat, and to empower each patient through expert physical therapy. If you’re looking for a seasoned physical therapist who puts your recovery first, I invite you to experience the difference at Rocklin Physical Therapy.
